大学水平考试计划(CLEP)

The 大学水平考试计划(CLEP) offers students the opportunity to earn college credit by examination. Rhode Island College requires a score of 50 or higher in order to earn the equivalent RIC course credit. Students may not take a CLEP test if they already earned credit for the equivalent course listed. Half of the 36 CLEP exams currently available satisfy Gen Ed requirements, a number of others count in various majors and the remainder as elective credit. 除了加速一个人的进步之外, a CLEP exam may help a student who needs a few more credits in order to graduate (including any CLEP test for which elective credit is awarded).

Completion Option for Graduating Seniors Short 1–2 Credits in their Last Semester

Graduating seniors in their last semester who are 1 – 2 credits short of the 120 credits required to graduate may take advantage of one or more of the American Red Cross online certification tests listed below. Successful completion of a Red Cross online self-paced certification course results in an electronic certificate. Students must send an electronic copy of the certificate to the Records Office (ebright@w-catering.com). 学分将作为选修考试学分公布.

Students wishing to take any one of the Red Cross online certification tests below may not take the test until they have a) applied for graduation, b) have a completed degree audit and c) meet either of the following eligibility criteria in order to take one of the tests and submit the certificate of completion:

1. Degree audit shows the student is 1-2 elective credits short for graduation
2. Degree audit shows potential August graduate (limited to a maximum of 9 credits in the summer) but who needs an additional 1-2 elective credits. The student must be registered for the summer courses before taking a Red Cross test or submitting the completion certificate.
